Sustainability

Shaping a future where digital growth and sustainability thrive together. From low-impact construction to carbon, energy and water efficiency, Ark leads with responsibility, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to a climate-neutral digital ecosystem.

Commitment

Since 2010, sustainability has guided every decision at Ark. We pioneered advanced cooling, minimised carbon footprints, and embraced renewable energy to power our data centres. Over time, we’ve proven that long-term viability and breakthrough performance can coexist to serve both our customers and our planet.

Action

Our core action spans four key areas: cutting carbon, optimising energy, conserving water, and innovating in construction. We are equally committed to conserving habitats for native wildlife, ensuring biodiversity thrives alongside our operations. Every step reflects our dedication to a resilient and sustainable digital infrastructure.

Carbon reduction
We continually cut emissions—for example, switching to HVO fuels to fine-tuning cooling—ensuring minimal carbon impact.
Renewable energy
We harness renewable power and smart systems, driving efficiency and slashing wasted energy with every technological advance.
Water
We maximise rainwater capture and refine operational usage to minimise draw on local supplies, sustaining operations and protecting resources.
Construction
Our modular, steel-forward builds reduce concrete, enable future recycling, and shrink environmental footprints from day one.

Ambition

Ark’s vision reaches beyond today. We aim to surpass climate-neutral targets, invest in emerging green technologies, and refine our practices to raise industry standards. By continuously evolving our methods and partnering with forward-thinking clients, we’ll maintain our lead in responsible innovation—ensuring that what we build tomorrow is even more sustainable than what we achieve today.

We’ve always had sustainability at the heart of what we do, it started out in the early days with a hyper-focus on energy efficiency and has evolved to mean so much more.”
