The Ark Control Room Shift Engineer will be based at Spring Park, reporting to the Control Room Engineering Supervisor whilst also working with the Campus Technical Facilities Managers and Ark Service Desk team on a day-to-day basis. The principal purpose of this role is to operate in Ark’s state of the art Control Centre (ACC). Ensuring the engineering systems’ availability, reliability and overall efficiency in support of continuous 24 x 7 x 365 operations across our estate ensuring we provide world class service to our customers. The Control Room Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that, in the event that engineering system parameters are not met, Ark incident management procedures are correctly implemented, providing incident management and first line response. These include but are not limited to; evaluating the event severity, risk and impact, coordinating with Arks Service Desk team, operations team and supplier partners in responding, containing and and/or resolving issues arising within defined service level timeframes.
